The Upgraded 84V Dualtron Storm Limited is rated to push past +70 MPH
Ready for an upgrade?
MiniMotors delivers another bombshell and stuns the community with their latest extreme performance electric scooter offering, the Dualtron Storm Limited electric scooter, only days after releasing the Dualtron Thunder 2.
The Dualtron Storm Limited Electric Scooter
The Dualtron Storm Limited comes with 60A controllers and an 84V 45AH 21700 battery pack that can produce up to 11.5KW! The Storm Limited has a top speed of 74 mph and a range of 136 miles in eco mode, according to the specs. MiniMotors has chosen to fix the battery within the deck, allowing more space for its enormous 45AH battery pack. The chassis appears comparable to the first iteration.

- Starting at $5,399

External 60A Controller and High Speed Damper
The Storm Limited has the same exterior controller arrangement as the Storm but with enhanced heatsinks, allowing for more deck space for the massive battery while letting the controllers dissipate heat generated during use. A speed damper kit is included with the Storm to help with high-speed stability and decrease high-speed wobbles!
Is it possible that Storm Limited will be the ultimate electric scooter? These limited editions could be available by the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022.

Raising the Stakes
Will the remaining electric scooter manufacturers follow Rion, Weped, and now Dualtron in producing +10KW electric scooters, raising the stakes in high wattage performance? I’m curious to see if Kaabo, Vsett, Nami, or Emove will also join the +10KW club.
Technical Upgrades:
- Strongest Dualtron to date
- First 84V Dualtron Electric Scooter
- Updated chassis with fixed battery
- It has a fingerprint reader, speed damper, fast charger, and puncture-free tires.
- New overtaking throttle feature to access 60A current and 11.5KW output.
- Dualtron Storm Limited is slated for the end of 2021.

How much power is enough?

New Motors & Top Speed: 1st generation Storms (limited edition) will receive larger motors, rims, arms, and tires to address Top speed reports.
Several owners from the first batch of Dualtron Storm Limited reported that the top speed is limited to 50/55 MPH.
While the acceleration is still powerful and fast, the units are not achieving the labeled top speed. MiniMotors Korea is sending larger motors to take in more current for power to fix this problem. The general premise is that first-generation engines (60 mm) cannot produce enough current to realize their full potential.
The new 70mm motors will address the speed/power imbalance and provide the correct amount of power for Storm Limited.
For existing owners, New Motor Package Includes:
- Parts in production will be shipped as soon as they land
- New 70MM motors (2 pcs)
- Two swing arms to hold new motors, nonbracket side (2 pcs)
- New rim size and tires (2 pcs)
- Will be available to existing owners and applied to the next batch of units.

Wow! I’m completely blown away with Mini Motor’s upcoming Storm Limited! I’ve made definite plans to purchase the Rion Thrust but with the announcement of the Storm Limited; I’m actually considering the Storm as a very realistic competitor of the Rion Thrust.
Storm Limited will be a beast!
I’m digging the Rion too… I’d hope on an RE60 if one is ever available in NYC.
I own a dualtron thunder and storm. Even at 6600 watts the storm isn’t user friendly on the throttle owing to its square wave controllers. Can’t really take off from standing start easily with twitching throttle control.
Think the storm Ltd and new thunder will definitely be fast but hard to control in low speed start ups daily commuting.
I turn down my settings on my Ultra 2, the acceleration curve is perfect for my needs. Turn off turbo, turn down p7 and p9, and you should be fine.
