Apollo Scooters announces the Apollo Ghost in time for the 2022 Riding Season
Looking for the best bang-for-buck commuter electric scooter? Apollo is now offering the Apollo Ghost, a 34 MPH sports electric scooter. At 64 lbs, 34 MPH top speed, and a $1499 price tag, the Apollo Ghost may be the best bang for your buck dual motor electric scooter.
The Apollo Ghost Electric Scooter Specs:
- 2000W Max, dual BLDC motors, capable of a 34mph top speed
- 52V, 18.2AH, 947WH, Dynavolt battery, rated up to a 39-mile range
- Collapsible handlebars, deck lighting, and footrest
A strong choice among entry-level dual-motor electric scooters
$1500 is a substantial upfront cost for alternative transportation, and with so many choices in the $1000 to $1800 price range, Apollo Scooters makes a choice easy! At first glance, the Ghost’s sharp lines, dark chassis, footpad, and tire huggers make for an aggressive but slick look. The handlebars and stem tilt back for a bold yet sporty vibe. The Ghosts build me of a Dualtron 3, crossed with an Apollo Pro, and Blade 10.
The Ghost satisfies the category of riders who need a more robust scooter than a city commuter ($1,000, 25mph top speed), but less costly than a high-performance scooter ($2000, 40mph top speed). At $1,500, the Apollo Ghost hits the sweet spot between power and budget, touting a hybrid category, a high-performance city commuter electric scooter.

Summary
The Apollo Ghost electric scooter isn’t too big, too little, too sluggish, or too fast. This $1,399 tiny beast will quickly get you where you need to go.

Who is the Apollo Scooter for?
Great entry-level performance scooter for new riders
The Apollo Ghost is an excellent entry-level dual-motor performance scooter for new riders. A 64lb scooter with dual motors, a 52V/18AH battery, and a top speed of 34mph is more than enough power and range for any beginner rider.
Choosing a dual-motor scooter off the bat will save most electric scooter enthusiasts time and money on the inevitable, single motor to double-motor upgrade.

Great Daily commuter for advanced riders
For riders who own larger 80 to 100 lb 60V or 72V extreme performance electric scooters, the Ghost would make for a great daily driver for short commutes, tight spaces, or leisure riding.
A common practice for advanced riders is to reserve their high-powered electric scooters for long weekend rides and to utilize lower-powered scooters for their day-to-day tasks.
At 64lbs, the Ghost would be easier to ride and transport to the grocery store or office, compared to a Dualtron Storm, Wolf Warrior, or TurboWheel Phaeton.

Few things to consider
64 lbs. is not light. With dual motors, a larger battery, and a chassis, the 34mph electric scooter will be heavier and more extensive than other commuter electric scooters. Transporting the scooter on public transit or a flight of stairs won’t be impossible, but it certainly won’t be easy.
The Ghost looks like the complete package out of the box on paper. I would consider upgrading hydraulic brake calipers, especially for scooters that go past 30mph.

The Apollo team hits the sweet spot.
The Ghost would make for a strong option for both beginning and advanced riders. I’m looking forward to seeing their ride footage and unboxing videos.
