eWheels Releases the Undestructable +50 MPH Veteran Patton Electric Unicycle Specs
Last night, eWheels finally released the distributor specs for the pricing, performance, and shipping. This newfound information makes the Patton heavier, stronger, and pricier than imagined. At 89 lbs, this 7KW peak wheel can push speeds over 50 MPH and climb gradients unimagined.
If the shopping gods permit, the 480A peak load drivetrain is shipping in April, possibly in early summer/ late spring. Let’s not forget the price; the latest Veteran commands a $3,099 price tag, no small bundle for this large performance package.
Heavy Weight Brings Heavy Duty
On a weight level, this wheel speaks to me for its quality, suspension, and battery size. I don’t go that far, but others will demand a 3 – 3.6KW pack; I can hang with 2.2KW. Not everyone has an entire day to spend riding wheels, but some want the best package to get around town and up steep climbs without a hitch.
- Shipping: Expected to ship in early April
- Price: $3,099. With an initial $1,000 deposit & $2,099 payment before shipping out

Leaperkim rumors are true; Patton is the latest Leaperkim scion
Ten-hut! Arlight cadets, we’re excited about this model; the EUC community has been agonizing over his final specs and build quality for months! Regarding the release date, Leaperkim still has their lips sealed about when their following, and first, 126V big voltage +50 MPH beast will hit the market. It makes sense that Leaperkim is finally releasing their first 16″, tailored to riders looking for a more “compact” and “lighter-weight” wheel.
- Weight: 89.3lb
- Cruising Speed: 55 MPH *At full charge
- Charge Time: 4hrs to 80%, with 3A charger
- Max Load: 320 lb
- Battery Capacity: 2,200Wh
- Range: 70+ miles, Cruising <25MPH
It reminds us of a Spider

105 KMH Free Spin Speeds? Take My Money Already.
Will the smaller rim and tires sustain such high speeds on the road?
That doesn’t mean this wheel is light by any means; there are rumors that it will weigh in the 80-pound* category (this weight spec may be corrected later).
It’s a little bit lighter than the Sherman-S, but every pound counts when you have to lug a machine of this caliber over a flight of stairs. Am-i-right OG-riders?

126 Big Voltage Medium-Weight On-n-Off-Road Champion
I’d have my fair share of close calls of throwing out my back trying to get my wheel into the office; this one’s a little more promising. Looking at the sturdy magnesium alloy chassis, height, geometry, and top love handles, the Veteran Patton looks like a force to be reckoned with. Prayers have been answered; the community has been demanding Leaperkim up the ante for a higher voltage wheel; the Patton is the calling.

126V 3KW 16″ 80mm Suspension Electric Unicycle
A first of its kind and size, the V13 and S22 are the other 126V models
Can you imagine a 126V system on a 16″ Leaperkim build? You don’t have to; the specs sheet and modeling are above. What comes next? Could the Sherman-S be configured to a 134V configuration? The 3600WH pack is already there; Leaperkim would need to re-engineer the wiring, controller, and motor to sustain the higher current. It’s not easy to reconfigure; this takes time and proper planning.

Competition Drives Innovation
And to add more anticipation into the fold, more wheels are coming. Don’t sleep on King Song, Inmotion, and Begode. Rumor has it that they are also releasing new flagship 16-inch models to compete in this exciting medium-range space.
39KG though? We demand answers.
Does weight affect performance in terms of stability? How heavy is too heavy for you?
The initial reaction to the Patton has been mixed, with people concerned about the weight specifications. On the one hand, the prospect of a 126V Veteran with its high build-quality reputation excites riders in the community.

Technical Riders Aren’t Happy
More metal, more weight. However, the importance and technical trail riding issue is raised due to its weight and size. How will the total weight of this heavy wheel affect its rideability and control? From a military standpoint, it’s known as the Patton – perhaps there’s more to be learned and revealed about the engineering decisions behind this full-armored powerhouse wheel.

Damn, that’s expensive; how much?
She’s going to be pricey. For a big beefy wheel of this weight and size, I predict that this wheel will run about $2,400-$3,000. It is Leaperkim, after all; these guys would instead go big than go home. 2023 looks pretty interesting in the mid-range wheel segment; maybe demand will prove that smaller and more portable wheels are more desirable in today’s climate.

Many people are going through layoffs and inflation right now; small wheel saves some funds in the piggy bank. We’re reaching out for pricing information from Linnea.
